My Newcastle theory – Have Liverpool just done us a massive favour?

I would like to thank Alexander Isak for his behaviour and forcing to leave Newcastle. I would also like to thank Liverpool for the duplicitous way they unsettled him.

Why on earth am I saying that, you may ask? Hear me out…

1. The bloke is not a team player as he showed last season with his performances at the start and end of last season and we only want fully committed players at our club.

2. At some point due to the corrupt PSR rules we were going to have to sell a big player to enable us to move to the next level. It might as well be one with the lack of character and morality that he has shown.

3. Isak and Liverpool have handed us a massive windfall that has the potential to transform the club over the next few seasons. Without this we would not be able to move forward as quickly and we would all be waiting for the axe to fall on another star player. That is less likely now.

4. We now, potentially, have the strongest squad in my living memory (with the possible exception of Keegan’s Entertainers but who knows they may surpass even them)

5. The new CEO and Sporting Director (both of whom are top class if reports are correct) will be walking into a club that is united from top to bottom and in a very strong financial position. A club that has qualified for the Champions League in two of the last 3 season and won its first domestic trophy in 70 years. A club that is clearly on the up.

6. PIF will hopefully have learned lessons from what happened this summer and even though it was a little late they acted in the last few weeks and made sure the end to they transfer window could be deemed a big success despite the circumstances (next up get the CEO and Sporting Director in and announce a new stadium)

7. Eddie Howe, Andy Howe, Jamie Reuben and Steve Nickson have cemented their reputations. In particular Eddie’s handling of the whole Isak affair has been a masterclass in diplomacy, hard work, and man management – we truly have an absolute gem and a gentleman leading the team.

8. In summary we have a club that is united from top to bottom, in a healthy financial position, a much stronger squad with players committed to the club, new top class senior personnel to be added very shortly, a second Champions League season to look forward to and hopefully more silverware.

So, in a funny old way, thank you Isak and Liverpool; your £130m might just move us to the next level ahead of time.

  1. We were always going to have to sell one of our heavy hitters to move on so it didn’t matter what club it was we dealt with in the end.
Is-rat just made it more easy to choose who it was going to be due to his pathetic antics!

We may have to repeat this a few more times to keep the money rolling in until the clubs earning potential grows exponentially!

  2. In the first 7 EPL games of last season, Isak scored 1 goal, then he went on a run that had the pundits drooling.

In his last 13 games, he scored 7 which looks great until you realise that he scored 4 penalties, so 3 non-penalty in 13.

Add the first and last games of the season and he scored 4 non-penalty goals in 20.

Yes, he has enhanced our PSR profile. The summer window has given us strength in more depth.

Having said that, with his approach to manipulating a transfer to a top 4/5 competitor, as well as in 3 cup competitions, as a point of principle, he should have been sent on loan to Hartlepool Rovers. However, it the Scousers’ problem when PSG or Real Madrid come calling for him.

  3. I sincerely hope he falls flat on his @rse and that his new employers regret the day they signed him.

  4. We also had to see to a premier league team to maximise the money so may as well be liverpool who are already dominant. The last ofnthe deadwood is almost gone too which means we can seel out of favour players for reasonable sums going forward.Next step is cementing champions league football.

  5. Such drivel, reading the comments is popcorn gold! Rex mentions selling to a top 4/5 rival! Who? You have one good player left, you bought two forwards, one of which i had to Google, probably about the same time as your scouting crew did. Isak basically put you on your temporary and somewhat shaky pedestal on his own, now you downplay his contributions! If Guimares leaves you are basically Sunderland. What nobody wants to mention is that the sheer arrogance of a PL club thinking they can operate without a Sporting Director, CFO or maybe even a CEO, on top of that Eddie Howes brother is the head of scouting!
A touch of nepotism, it appears you got exactly what you deserved.

  6. We are a club with no strategy..literally whats the plan eventually in 3 years time 5 years or 10 years…no sporting director a manger who have said over and over again that he only likes improving players…which means he isn’t a type to understand global market ..his nephew is our scout wtf….I can’t complain being a supporter since 2003

But our recruitment is **** …u don’t have to be a genius to copy and paste what chelsea are doing…eddie howe is given way too much power…in modern football only diego simeone have the same power but eddie isn’t or will never achieve what atlet madrid did…Paul mitchell was right its a club with no goals

    One good player left?
Who is it then? Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Livramento, Hall, Botman, Gordon, Woltemade?

  9. I stopped reading when you claimed he wasn’t a team player, which is total BEE-ESS.

Some of his assists have been sublime, and he has given goals to team mates that he could have scored himself. The epitome of team play!

So many Toon fans are taking his departure personally and it’s like messy divorce with them feeling the need to slag off the ex to get visiting rights to the kids.

    If it wasn’t so sad…….

You appear to be touched but not in a good way 😂🤡 .,
Strange how these psycho’s are so fixated on Newcastle and fearful of their rising success.. the jealousy and rage is a compliment ..
