The team sheets are in at the Amex, where Newcastle United take on Brighton in today’s 3pm kick-off.
Newcastle are looking to make it three wins in a row after recent victories over Union SG and Nottingham Forest, while Brighton’s last two gams have seen them draw 1-1 at Brighton after an impressive 3-1 win at Chelsea.
Here’s how the two sides line up this afternoon:
Confirmed XIs
Newcastle XI: Pope – Trippier, Thiaw, Botman, Burn – Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton – Elanga, Woltemade, Gordon.
Subs: Ramsdale, Schar, Barnes, Krafth, Osula, Murphy, Willock, Ramsey, Miley.
Brighton XI: Verbruggen, Wieffer, Dunk, Van Hecke, Kadioglu, Baleba, Ayari, Gomez, Geoginio, Minteh, Welbeck.
Eddie Howe has name an unchanged side from our 2-0 win over Forest a fortnight ago, seeing Anthony Elanga keep his place on the right wing once again.
Dan Burn starts at left-back once again, with Hall and Livramento absent, while Jacob Ramsey returns to the squad after recovering from an ankle issue picked up at Leeds in our third game of the season.
For Brighton, former Mag Yankuba Minteh starts out wide, although Karou Mitoma misses out from their squad entirely.
Howay the lads!
Sorry to be that annoying git, Olly:
Swap out Murphy for Elanga.
Love the site.
