From nine starts across all competitions, Woltemade has already scored six goals and formed a mini highlight reel for himself in the process: three headers, two backheels and one stunning penalty is a lovely return.
His great start to the 25/26 season has also seen him grab his maiden goal for Germany against Northern Ireland, with this international form coming after he won the golden boot at the U21 EUROs after six goals in five games.
But, stellar performances aside, it’s also clear how well the big man has settled in at Newcastle, always having a smile on his face, making strong early connections with his teammates and having nothing but good things to say about Eddie Howe, the fans and the city.
With that in mind, it’s interesting to see SportBILD release a new piece on his long-term plans, which quickly shoot down German-based rumours that he’ll be a Bayern Munich player before long.
They report that the 23-year-old sees himself at Newcastle for a long time, with the striker settling quickly and feeling ‘extremely comfortable’ in his new surroundings, both living on Tyneside and playing in the Premier League.
SportBILD claim Woltemade is already planning for a ‘long term’ stay at Newcastle, not only believing in the club’s ambitious plans but enjoying the ‘family’ feel Eddie Howe has created within the squad, where he has already made a number of strong connections due to his ‘down to earth’ nature.
The same report also states that big Nick is impressed by Howe’s approach to training and the intense approach to his development as a striker, with Graeme Jones doing specialist work with the German and extra sessions to help him settle into his new role and maximise his potential.
Speaking to Sky Sports about his move to Newcastle and his time at the club so far, Woltemade said: “This team…it was so easy for me to come here. Even in a new country, a new language.
“I feel so welcome here, even from the first day, everybody was talking to me. And my German guys, Fabi (Schar) and Malick (Thiaw). I can speak to them (in German), and it makes it easier .We all have a good connection. The team have made me feel really welcome.”

Sick of reading absolute clickbait going nowhere and Bayern could not afford him before and they certainly couldn’t buy him anytime soon. Any old nobody’s making rubbish up blah blah blah..,
