Newcastle get Qarabag! – Full Champions League draw, dates and last 16 opponents

The draw for the play-off phase of the 2025/26 Champions League has just been made from Switzerland.

After finishing in 14th place after our eight league games, we went into the draw as a seeded team, meaning our first leg will be away and second leg back at St James’ Park.

The options were Monaco (21st) or Qarabag (22nd), and Newcastle United will make the 5000-mile round trip to Azerbaijan. The away leg will take place on February 17/18th, with the home leg scheduled for 24/25th.

As for our potential last 16 opponents, we will face Barcelona or Chelsea should we beat Qarabag over two legs.

Play-off fixtures
