4 changes? – Predicted Newcastle team vs Liverpool

Newcastle are back in Premier League action at 8pm tonight, taking on Liverpool at Anfield.

The Reds have lost one and drawn four of their last five league games, while Newcastle have lost one, drawn one and three of their previous five.

As we edge closer to kick-off, here is the side I’m backing Eddie Howe to go with.

Predicted XI

(3-4-3): Pope – Thiaw, Botman, Burn – Miley, Bruno, Ramsey, Hall – Barnes, Wissa, Gordon.

OUT: Tonali, Willock, Elanga, Woltemade?

IN: Bruno, Barnes, Gordon, Wissa?

This would be four changes from our 1-1 draw with PSG, sticking by the same system but switching up our entire front three.

Tonali has started our last four games and may need a game off, so I could see Bruno returning to our midfield; providing he is OK to start following an ankle issue.

Ramsey should be given another chance to impress after a superb display in Paris, with his running power and athleticism key to breaking beyond Liverpool’s midfield in transition.

Up top, I think we’ll see big changes, with Gordon, Barnes and Wissa all coming back into our attack after they were benched on Wednesday night.

  1. Why does EH keep dropping Tonali and put Ramsey in is he trying to justify the money he wasted in the summer by playing him because the supporters no who the better player is hope he leaves in the summer or gets sack before that
