According to reports from BBC World Service, Newcastle United have recently placed a bid for Brazilian goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.
Tim Krul is widely expected to be leaving Newcastle United within the next few hours and the Dutchman’s destination is believed to be Brighton & Hove Albion.
With Krul set to depart, Newcastle will be short on numbers in goal and in order to reinforce the goalkeeping areas, the Magpies are currently said to have started off their pursuit for Napoli’s Brazilian custodian Rafael Cabral.
Cabral has made only 45 appearances for Napoli since joining the club back in 2013 and he is currently well down the pecking order at the Stadio San Paolo at the moment.
As a result , a move away from the Italian side has been touted for the 27-year-old and he could well join Rafael Benitez at Napoli, having worked closely with the Spaniard in the Serie A for a number of years.
