Poundland have mocked Mike Ashley in a brilliant new post on social media, asking if he’d like them to sponsor the new Newcastle United kit.
This comes in response to Paddy Power’s new shirt deal with Huddersfield, with them sending a message to Mike Ashley incase he felt ‘left out’.
Huddersfield have since confirmed the heavily-branded and heavily-criticised shirt worn during a pre-season friendly at Rochdale was a fake and instead part of a ‘PR stunt’ to promote unbranded football kits, but it’s not stopped Poundland from sending the following ‘open letter’ to the NUFC owner:
This is absolutely brilliant, with “you share our love of not spending more than you need to” being one of my favourite lines!
Ashley won’t like this, but what else does he expect when he decides to run the world’s 19th richest football club like an absolute circus.
Nice one, Poundland. We need to see MORE of these companies taking the P out of Ashley while the stinking media defends him (as long as he doesn’t take over THEIR clubs – just destroy Newcastle)
