According to reports, Everton have offered Crystal Palace £65m PLUS current NUFC target James McCarthy and ex-Newcastle target Cenk Tosun in their bid to sign Wilfried Zaha.
Bruce has regularly been linked with a move for Everton’s James McCarthy this summer, while Tosun is a player well known by NUFC scouts, with club officials watching him regularly at Besiktas prior to his move to Merseyside.
That said, the Daily Mail claim that Palace look set to REJECT Everton’s huge offer of £65m + McCarthy and Tosun – despite it being a package worth over £100m.
It’s crazy money, but a part of me doesn’t blame Palace for saying no given how devastating it could be for them to lose their star man just two days before the window slams shut.
On the subject of Crystal Palace, they must be serious candidate to go down this season if they do lose Zaha and don’t get their act together over the final 48 hours of the window.
Not only have they lost Aaron Wan-Bisaka and failed to replace him, they’d be losing a man they’ve been hugely reliant on in recent season in Wilfried Zaha.
I’d be taking their man off!!
Zaha is a cracking player, but £65m plus McCarthy and Tosun is a no brainer imo. In fact, I’d say £50m plus McCarthy, Tosun and Bolasie.
There’s 3 decent players in with £100m (£50m from the RB and this £50m) to spend on a new RB and a couple of game changers.
