With 5 ruled out, could this be the new-look NUFC side that starts vs Wolves?

Steve Bruce has been tipped to make a few changes this Sunday after a toothless attacking display at Stamford Bridge saw us land zero shots on target.

A few days on, it’s been revealed that Andy Carroll and Fabian Schar are injured and that the game will come too soon for Matt Ritchie and Florian Lejeune, with Isaac Hayden also missing for the final time through suspension.

Dwight Gayle is finally fit and is a player Steve Bruce has spoken highly of through the week, praising his “excellent” finishing in training.

With that and our lack of goals in mind, I fancy him to start this Sunday, while you’d expect one of Fernandez or Dummett to come in for Schar…if Bruce sticks with five at the back that is.

Gayle’s inclusion would suggest one of Joelinton, Saint-Maximin or Almiron has to make way, unless Bruce makes a bold decision to go for a 4-4-2 – something he may be tempted to go for following Schar’s injury.

As a result, I can see one of the two teams starting against Wolves this weekend. Option 1 being the risky bet, and option 2 being the most likely side should Bruce play it safe:

Potential team no.1:

4-4-2: Dubravka – Yedlin, Lascelles, Clark, Willems – Almiron, M Longstaff, S Longstaff, Saint-Maximin – Joelinton – Gayle.

Potential team no.2:

5-2-2-1: Dubravka – Yedlin, Fernandez, Lascelles, Clark, Willems – M Longstaff, S Longstaff – Almiron, Saint-Maximin – Joelinton.

How do you see us lining up on Sunday in light of the latest injury news?
