Valentino Lazaro’s move to Newcastle United appears to be complete, with leaked pictures showing the Inter Milan man holding up the black and white shirt alongside his agent.
The images come from Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, and follow on from pictures showing the 23-year-old arriving at the club’s training ground at Benton.
Here’s the leaked picture of the Austrian international – who’s accompanied by agent Max Hagmayr’s (the man spotted at St James’ Park last weekend):
Lazaro arrives on a loan deal until the end of the season – a move which includes an ‘option to buy’ for £20m this summer.
He’s now believed to have left the club’s training ground, with an official announcement from the club now imminent.
Here’s what Bruce had to say about the NUFC new boy earlier today:
“He’s here. He’s in the building which is a good sign.
“I think it’s fair to say that we’ve managed to hold off a couple of clubs because once he became available, then somebody of his pedigree was always going to have a few options, and thankfully he’s chosen us.
“We hope to get the paperwork done so he can play tomorrow. There was big talk of Leipzig of course. But the idea of playing Premier League (has convinced him).”
“He will give us an extra something going forward. He can play in a few positions but ultimately is an out and out wide player who can give another something else down the right-hand side. We’re delighted we’ve got him.“
