Speaking about his recent absence following a reported hip problem, Mo Diame has admitted that he has a ‘bone injury’ – claiming that he still doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return to action.
The Senegalese midfielder hasn’t been seen since he limped off in the second half of our home defeat to Man Utd earlier in the month, and this update suggests he may not be back anytime soon.
He had been pictured taking part in training in the days before our 3-0 win over Cardiff, but he’s been absent from sessions ever since – with Rafa also ruling him out of the Man City game as a result.
Here’s what Mo’s had to say about his current hip injury:
‘It’s a bone injury, so it’s tough. It’s not easy now.
“I’ve never had this before, so I don’t really know when I’ll be back.’
Rafa had said that some of our injured players were making good progress and edging closer to a return, but it doesn’t great based on what he’s saying here.
Let’s hope he’s back sooner than his comments suggest!
Where is the worrying bit?
