According to L’Equipe, Newcastle United have submitted a £7m bid for PSG left-back Stanley N’Soki.
That said, it’s claimed the French Champions value the player at £11m – suggesting we are some way off meeting their alleged asking price with our opening offer (shock horror).
Reports in France suggests Lazio, St Etienne, Roma and Southampton have all shown interest, but state we were in ‘pole position’ to sign the 20-year-old.
GFFN also state that a proposal of €10m plus add-ons ‘should be enough’ to convince PSG to sell, however this is yet another situation (like Saint-Maximin) that sees us haggling over price at a time when time is not on our side.
The highly-rated PSG talent has been linked with a move to St James’ Park for over two years now, however he rejected the move last summer in a bid to prove himself with the Ligue 1 giants.
Since then he’s struggled for game time and looks all set to leave the club this summer in search of first-team football, and it’s claimed he would be keen to make the move to St James’ Park.
Loan the lad with an option to buy for £10m next summer.
I can’t see PSG minding him going on loan initially – they have bigger fish to fry.
If not, pay the money if you want him and feel he’s a priority. If not, put him to one side and get on with the priority signings with only a few weeks left of this window.

Fans should follow the Ashley and Charnley model, how much do you want for a season ticket? I’ll offer you 50%. Not prepared to deal? Ok I’ll offer 70% wait a week and offer 80% take it or leave it. Still not happy? Well I tried but couldn’t get the deal over the line.
