NUFC now ‘in talks’ to sign €15m forward – Deal could go through quickly – Report

According to L’Equipe, Newcastle are in talks with Bordeaux over a potential deal for Francois Kamano – the versatile forward who bagged 13 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

The French outlet claim that the Guinea international is available for €15m (£13.8m), with Bordeaux happy to conclude a deal quickly in their desperate bid to raise cash this summer.

Kamano, 23, can play anywhere in a front three, with him actually being someone who the club were regularly linked with towards the back end of 2018 – suggesting he’s well and truly on the clubs database.

Scouting trips were reported after his impressive start to the 2018/19 Ligue 1 campaign, scoring 7 goals in Bordeaux’s first 11 games, however no move materialised in the January window that followed.

L’Equipe claims that Monaco are also showing interest in the attacker who bagged 13 goals and 4 assists in all competitions last season, however it seems like there’s a quick deal to be done here if we want it.

One to watch if Murphy and Aarons do leave on loan today? It makes sense given his age, the reasonable asking price, his versatility and our past interest, but L’Equipe aren’t the most reliable of sources.
