Newcastle officials have been ‘regularly’ scouting Nantes star this season – Eurosport France

According to Eurosport reporter Manu Lonjon, Newcastle have been watching Nantes star Simon Moses ‘regularly’ this season.

The Nigerian international bas bagged 8 goals and 8 assists in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side, and it’s being claimed today that we are one of THREE clubs who’ve been scouting him, with ourselves, Hertha Berlin and Lyon mentioned.

Nantes will activate a €5m ‘option to buy’ following his impressive loan spell from Levante, however French reporter Manu Lonjon claims we’ve been watching him the 24-year-old ‘regularly’ this season:

“Nantes will activate their option to buy Simon Moses (5M). It will be been announced soon.

“The striker’s excellent season has caught the eye. Newcastle, Hertha Berlin and OL regularly supervise the player.

“His value is now around €17 / 18M.”

Moses – who is NOT related to former Chelsea man Victor – has operated both up top and out wide this season.

He scored in Nantes 2-1 defeat to PSG last time out and has been involved in 16 goals in 25 appearances this season (8 goals and 8 assists).

Nantes look set to sign him permanently, but Eurosport France reporter Manu Lonjon claims he could be available for £14-15m this summer should the Ligue 1 side be looking to make a quick profit on their star attacker.
