Tottenham set to offer Newcastle 2 players plus cash for Allan Saint-Maximin – Report

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham have now expressed an interest in signing Allan Saint-Maximin this summer.

Simon Jones’ piece claims that Spurs will have a ‘limited transfer kitty’, perhaps due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will offer us Danny Rose and Argentinian defender Juan Foyth PLUS cash for the Frenchman.

Hardly an offer that seems remotely tempting, not that I’d want to see him sold at any price this summer!

The same piece also claims that French giants PSG are another club showing interest.

Jones’ report says the Ligue 1 club’s scouts have been impressed by his immediate impact at Premier League level and ability to do damage against considerably tougher defences – especially after the 23-year-old didn’t always live up to his clear potential during a few seasons with OGC Nice.

The Mail insist we will ‘try to resist bids’ for the fan favourite, but suggest our ability to keep him could depend on whether or not a Saudi takeover is approved.

  1. Haha Maybe Harry Kane and Son plus Lloris, Alli and Lucas Moura plus + £300m and their new stadium to loan him for a day
