The winter transfer window is fast approaching, which means that Steve Bruce will be making plans for the players that he will be hoping to bring in during the January window. The transfer window also brings with it interesting betting markets, as gamblers will be able to wager on Betway88 mobile markets regarding players that will be moving clubs.
The Toon have struggled to score goals once again this term, which means that a creative player may be one of the targets that Bruce has in mind, but to achieve that, he may need to offload a number of players to free up the wage space. But, which players could be on their way out of St James’ Park next month?
Dwight Gayle
There is no doubt that Dwight Gayle has the ability to put the ball in the back of the net, but it doesn’t seem likely that he will be doing that at Newcastle for much longer. It didn’t seem likely that he would be at the club for the first six months this season, as there were a number of teams monitoring his situation. However, Bruce decided to keep hold of the 31-year-old, but he has yet to start a Premier League game this season.
The Toon could have missed out on their chance to cash-in on the striker after he impressed during the 2018-19 season for West Bromwich Albion by scoring 23 goals in 39 games. The club may be willing to listen to offers in this upcoming window, but a move to the Championship is likely to be his destination as he has excelled in the second-tier throughout his career.
Henri Saivet
It almost seems remarkable that Henri Saivet is still a Newcastle player, as he has featured just five times in four years with the club. He arrived at St James’ Park with huge potential from Bordeaux, but he has been unable to settle since moving to the Premier League. He has been loaned out to three different clubs over the last four years, with his most recent spell coming at Turkish side Bursaspor.
He featured heavily for the Turkish side as he made 29 appearances, but the club were unable to find a buyer in the summer window. Finding a buyer for the Senegalese midfielder may once again prove a sticking point in the winter, but clubs may be interested should the transfer fee that is being requested be a small one.
DeAndre Yedlin
Javier Manquillo has made the right-back position his own this season for the Magpies, which means that DeAndre Yedlin has found first-team appearances hard to come by once again. The American has made just two Premier League starts so far this season, and could be offloaded in order to bring in new players.
It has been an unfortunate spell for the American as there is no doubting his ability, but injuries have been picked up by the 27-year-old at terrible times for both the player and club. There will be a number of suitors for the former Tottenham Hotspur right-back, and while Bruce would prefer to keep hold of him as a backup option, it could be likely that he departs the club.
