Joe Willock’s asking price revealed as new report shares Arsenal’s stance on NUFC’s interest

Arsenal are willing to cash in on Joe Willock this summer should a club meet their £20m asking price, according to The Telegraph.

This comes from North East reporter Luke Edwards, who claims that the Gunners are ‘open’ to allowing the 21-year-old to leave on a permanent deal once his loan move expires at the end of the season.

The same report also states that Newcastle United should be at the front of the queue for his signature, with Willock believed to be loving life on Tyneside.

One concern is the fact we’re likely to be operating on a limited budget this summer – more loan moves and free agents have been touted – however a £20m deal for Willock should be a no-brainer.

Bruce has already admitted he’s a player he’d “love to build a team around”, not to mention the fact he’s a player with a profile that’s perfectly suited to Mike Ashley’s buying policy.

You won’t find many young, energetic, athletic and goal scoring English midfielders for less than £20m in this day and age, making this a deal we should be all over when the summer transfer window opens.

Let’s just hope his form in front of goal doesn’t make Arsenal up their asking price – or worse still, decide to keep him!
