Newcastle discussing shock moves for Alexander Isak, Yves Bissouma & Benoit Badiashile – Report

According to The Mail, Newcastle United are now in talks with Monaco over a move for £35m-rated centre back Benoit Badiashile.

The report states that we are ‘struggling’ to reach an agreement for Lille’s Sven Botman after submitting an improved offer on Friday, suggesting we are sounding out a move for Badiashile; who appears to be the back-up option.

Elsewhere, Simon Jones’ piece states that hugely exciting Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak has been identified as one of our top targets after confirmation Callum Wilson will be out for the next eight weeks.

The 22-year-old Sweden international has bagged 25 goals for the La Liga side over the past 18 months and is also believed to be on Arsenal’s radar.

Wilson’s injury has left us targeting TWO new strikers this month, with The Mail also stating that we’ve spoken to Bamba Dieng (Marseille) and Sardar Azmoun (Zenit St Petersburg) in our search for added fire power up top.

Last but certainly not least, the report claims that we are in discussions over a surprise move for Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.

However, it’s said we face stiff competition for both him and Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara, who appears to be another midfield target.
