Good news for Newcastle fans – 4 of the next 5 games selected for TV as another match is added

Following last night’s draw, Newcastle United have confirmed that our Carabao Cup clash with Tranmere Rovers has been selected to be shown on Sky Sports.

The second round tie will take place on Wednesday 24th August and kick off at 7.45pm, falling in between Premier League clashes with Manchester City (21st August) and Wolves (28th August).

This weekend’s trip to Brighton has not been selected for TV broadcast, however it’s the only game of the month that won’t be televised, with us set to be shown on Sky Sports or BT Sport FOUR times in just 11 days over the second half of August!

Here’s the upcoming schedule in full, seeing upcoming games against Man City, Tranmere, Wolves and Liverpool all snapped up by Sky or BT:

  • 13th August – Brighton (A) – Not selected for TV broadcast
  • 21st August – Man City (H) – 4.30pm on Sky Sports
  • 24th August – Tranmere (A) – 7.45pm on Sky Sports
  • 28th August – Wolves (A) – 2pm on Sky Sports
  • 31st August – Liverpool (A) – 8pm on BT Sport
