It’s become a little clearer why Martin Dubravka was not involved in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Tranmere.
Just as local reporters were putting his absence down to ‘illness’, Sky Sports revealed that Man Utd are in talks to bring the Slovakian stopper to Old Trafford.
They report that they are interested in bringing in the 33-year-old to Manchester to provide competition for current number one David De Gea.
Sky Sports also add that Dubravka is ‘open’ to the idea of joining the Red Devils, with The Athletic reporting that a loan offer has now been submitted for the experienced goalkeeper.
I wouldn’t blame him for wanting a move elsewhere after recently losing his first-team spot to Nick Pope, however it may seem like a sidewards step to arrive at Man Utd if he would then warm the bench behind David De Gea?
Time will tell what happens with this one, but it certainly felt like something was going on when he wasn’t included in the squad at Tranmere.
if he wants to move to manure to warm their bench rather than fight for his place here then sell him, supposedly they want him on loan cheeky b**tards make them pay for him, they have supposedly just payed £100 million for antony

Must be a big loan fee, why not sell him at 33?

Be as helpful to them as they were to us with Lingard.
£5 million up front if they avoid relegation!
