The club have released a behind-the-scenes video of Alexander Isak’s first day as a Newcastle United player and record-breaking arrival after the player put pen to paper on Friday.
Stepping off the plane and onto Tyneside for the first time, our new £58m man looked in good spirits as he headed off to the training ground to meet his new teammates and coaches.
Swedish international teammate Emil Krafth – who suffered a serious injury in our game against Tranmere – was the first to greet the 22-year-old, before head coach Eddie Howe met with his new centre-forward.
England internationals Nick Pope and Kieran Tripper both followed suit and were keen to make a good first impression – hopefully the start of a good partnership with Trippier’s delivery and Isak’s aerial threat.
As you can see in the official video above, the former Borussia Dortmund striker was then taken through all of his physical tests as he successfully completed his medical before being interviewed and photographed by the club’s media team.
Eventually, the 6ft 4 goal-scorer took to the pitch for the first time to take in the incredible sight that is St James Park, finishing with more photos to finally announce the long-awaited arrival of our superstar signing.
