Toon eyeing South Korean star as 2021 transfer link re-emerges ahead of January window

Spanish outlet Fichajes has revealed that Newcastle are showing interest in Mallorca star Kang-in Lee – a player who ‘perfectly’ fits the profile being targeted by the club.

This is not the first time we’ve been linked with the 21-year-old, as The Sun’s Alan Nixon wrote last summer that we were considering a move during his time at Valencia.

So far this season, the attacker has scored once and assisted three times in six appearances, making him the join top creator in La Liga and a key figure in Mallorca’s forward line.

Previously compared to David Silva, the South Korean can play in a range of positions, being capable of operating out wide, up top or as an attacking midfielder.

With Wolves also said to be keen as they look to replace Adama Traore, Newcastle may have a battle on their hands to secure the €9m-rated star in the next transfer window – providing talk of our interest is true, that is.
