Newcastle United set for Premier League treble to round off outstanding October?

October may be over, but Newcastle United are in pole position to collect a trio of Premier League awards following what can only be described as a magical month on Tyneside.

In-form winger Miguel Almiron has had his own goal of the month competition in the last four weeks, scoring incredible goal after incredible goal as the Paraguayan continued to impress.

Either of his volley against Fulham in the first half of the game, glorious winner against Everton or curling effort from outside of the box against Aston Villa could easily secure him this month’s prize.

The 28-year-old also has a great chance of beating Erling Haaland to October’s player of the month prize. Not only has he scored six goals in six games, his finishes have been of the highest quality, with that solo run at Spurs another magical moment.

To complete the hattrick, Eddie Howe surely has to be named manager of the month after topping the form table and getting the very best out of players who had been here long before his tenure. With five wins from six, 16 goals, three clean sheets, a victory at Spurs and emphatic wins over Fulham, Brentford and Aston Villa, no one deserves it more following a month that saw us break into the top four.

The only thing missing could be save of the month, but we’ve barely given Nick Pope a save to make in recent weeks, with the England stopper a spectator in home wins over Everton and Aston Villa; two games that featured ZERO shots on target for the visitors.

The potential to collect three awards in one month just epitomises the incredible effort from everyone involved at this new-look Newcastle United, giving us real hope and excitement for what could be achieved in the coming months.

  1. We should invent some new awards, such as:

    Clean Sheet award – Pope

Not giving the ball away to anybody, ever award – Bruno

Being invisible award, but that’s the point coz he is that good – Botman

Centre Back hitting 50 yard passes to feet award – Schar
