BeIN SPORTS presenter Richard Keys has called out Alan Shearer on Twitter after the former Mag made a critical statement live on BBC on the treatment of migrant workers during the Qatar World Cup.
While presenting the World Cup final, our all-time top scorer claimed that ‘it’s only right that FIFA compensates the migrant workers that made this happen’.
However, Keys – the same man who was kicked off of Sky for his bigoted views – asked why Shearer wasn’t bringing up the same opinions when working for beIN and towards Newcastle’s new ownership.
This is just the latest instalment in the 65-year-old’s rather odd obsession with the club but is perhaps one of the most bizarre – all Shearer had asked for was giving migrant workers, who had obviously suffered, what they deserve.
Regardless of who is wrong or right, it is quite funny to see that the disgraced Sky Sports presenter has suddenly grown a conscience – when it suits his agenda, of course!

Never took much notice of Keynes but he has a point with not only Shearer but many other so called pundits who were being paid from the Qataries for appearances over the last few years. Hwtl

keys is basically correct this time. If Shearer thinks Qatar are bad he should be demanding NUFC take down his statue and change shearers bar name. I think that the bbc coverage esp lineker was terrible… their constant harping on about Qatar was spoiling the footy. If they felt so strongly, don’t go to Qatar and take a fat pay packet for doing so… hypocrisy at its highest.
