Former Newcastle striker Joselu scored one of the goals of the season in Spain over the weekend.
During Sunday’s game at Getafe, the Spaniard spotted the goalkeeper off his line and pulled off a stunning lob from just past the half-way line to give his side an early lead.
While Joselu struggled during his time in England – he managed just four goals in 22 games for Stoke and six in 46 for Newcastle – he has bagged 14 times already this term and reached double digits in each of his FOUR seasons in La Liga.
The 32-year-old is now the second top goalscorer in the division, just three behind Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski – something no Newcastle fan would ever have predicted after some of his performances on Tyneside!

Perhaps the striker was just not suited to the Premier League or has improved with age, but either way it’s good to see he’s finally found some form later in his career after a tough few seasons on Tyneside.
