Newcastle United have released brilliant behind-the-scenes footage of Anthony Gordon’s first day on Tyneside.
The clip shows him meeting Eddie Howe for the first-time – where you can hear the boss saying what a “big admirer” he is of the winger – along with the warm embrace he received from sporting director Dan Ashworth.
Our new £40m man is also seen sitting alongside head of recruitment Steve Nickson, who appears to oversee a presentation on everything he needs to know about the club, our new ambitions, the fans, St James’ Park and the area.
Jason Tindall then takes him into the physio room and canteen, where he meets Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar; two players he clashed with during our win over Everton earlier in the season!

The club is already unrecognisable from the Mike Ashley days and the atmosphere within the squad seems brilliant, with Gordon coming cross well in all of the clips.
Let’s hope he settles in well, both on and off the pitch, and can have a good week of training ahead of Saturday’s clash with West Ham.
