Premier League confirm THREE changes to Newcastle United’s 25-man squad – Official

The Premier League have released updated squad lists following the conclusion of the January transfer window, seeing Newcastle Unite make THREE changes.

Both Emil Krafth and Mark Gillespie have been reintroduced to our 25-man squad for the second half of the 2022/23 season after missing out last September, with Martin Dubravka also featuring following his return from Man Utd.

They replace outgoing trio Jonjo Shelvey (Nottingham Forest), Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) and Karl Darlow (Hull City), with Krafth on the comeback from a serious knee injury and hoping to play again this season.

Elsewhere, new signings Anthony Gordon and Harrison Ashby don’t feature in our official 25 as players aged 21 or under can be classified in our Under-21 section and still play; as the likes of Elliot Anderson has done already.

Here’s both lists in full, via the Premier League official website:

  1. Agreed the squad still has “dross” but the septic six won’t deal their players so either abroad or lesser lights. Also you can only have 17 foreign players so have to be careful who you recruit
