According to The Daily Mail, West Ham are opting to keep the faith in David Moyes for now, but former Toon manager Rafa Benitez is on standby should the Scotsman be sacked in the coming weeks.
Benitez has also been linked with the Leeds job – who are still yet to name a successor to Jesse Marsch – but it seems the Spaniard could have a tough decision to make should both jobs become available.
West Ham have already been rejected by both Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, with Nuno Espírito Santo another potential option who is in the conversation.
It is expected that Moyes will be given the upcoming home game against Nottingham Forest to give him more time, but the former Man U boss is already on thin ice after their 2-0 defeat to Spurs.
Benitez would be walking into his first job since his disastrous stint at Everton in yet another relegation battle, but the two parties are yet to come to an agreement with the 62-year-old demanding a long-term contract.
