Ex-Mags trolls Sunderland fans after scoring in 5-1 win at Stadium of Light – Watch here

Former Mag Dwight Gayle trolled Sunderland fans with a celebration many Toon supporters will remember after scoring a brace against the Black Cats on Saturday.

The forward had been out of form for some time at St James’ Park before making the move to the second division last summer, but he has certainly not forgotten his time in the North East. 

Despite scoring just once in his first 28 appearance for the Potters, the ex-Mag tripled his goalscoring tally for the season as Stoke ran riot at the Stadium of Light. 

After bagging his first, the 33-year-old performed his ‘going up going down’ celebration, a reference to our 2016-17 season in which we won promotion while Sunderland were relegated. 

This was very much to the annoyance of Sunderland fans who reacted to the goals and celebration by throwing projectiles at the striker as well as their former boss Alex Neil – classy as ever. Watch below:
