Newcastle announce TV series – Darren Eales reveals what to expect and producers speak out

Newcastle have officially confirmed a new four-part Amazon documentary to be released later this summer.

The TV series will not only focus on our 2022/23 season, but also offer a ‘unique and authentic insight’ into how a Premier League football club operates behind the scenes, with CEO Darren Eales believing it will give fans a ‘front row seat’ at an ‘exciting time’ in the club’s history.

Lorton Entertainment and 72 Films are collaborating to film unseen footage at St James’ Park and ‘offer exclusive access to the club’s decision makers’.

The series will join the likes of other All Or Nothing documentaries following Arsenal and Tottenham in recent years and will showcase what has been a whirlwind 18 months for Toon fans.

Julian Bird of Lorton Entertainment described it as a ‘fascinating’ insight into the club’s revival while Clare Cameron of 72 Films hope it well help fans understand the ‘effect the change in ownership is having’.

Here’s what CEO Darren Eales told NUFC.co.uk following the official announcement:

“We are excited to be offering global football fans a front row seat at this exciting time in Newcastle United’s history.

“The documentary will give football and non-football fans across the globe a unique and authentic insight into how a major Premier League club operates and will take fans on the journey with us as we strive to achieve our goals on and off the pitch.”

For now, all we can do is hope that the series has a thrilling and successful end highlighting the return of Champions League football to Tyneside!
