Newcastle United star Fabian Schar is having a superb season on and off the pitch, keeping Premier League strikers quiet AND earning a masters sports management!
The defender shared a photo (see below) of himself holding up the degree outside the club’s training ground yesterday, leaving some supporters to ponder whether he could become a coach on Tyneside once his playing days are done.
While the 31-year-old has been playing week in, week out for the best defence in the Premier League, it appears he has also been working hard throughout the season on this impressive achievement.
It’s yet another example of how passionate and driven this group of players are when it comes to football, but also of the Swiss international’s intelligence of the game.
When Schar does eventually retire, it seems it will not be the last we see of him near the football pitch. Hopefully he enjoys a successful career in coaching once he hangs up his boots!
