Saint-Maximin starts and Joelinton on the bench – Official team news for Newcastle vs Man Utd

The teams are in ahead of today’s massive clash with Man Utd, where we could rise to third with a win over our top-four rivals.

Here’s the starting XI and substitutes Eddie Howe has selected:

STARTING 11: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock, Murphy, Isak, Saint-Maximin.

SUBS: Dubravka, Lascelles, Joelinton, Gordon, Wilson, Ritchie, Targett, Manquillo, Anderson.

Joelinton is back from a ban but starts this one on the bench, with Eddie Howe naming an unchanged side from the team that beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 before the break.

Miguel Almiron is missing with a thigh injury, but Anthony Gordon is back on the bench after recovering from an ankle problem.

As we know, Casemiro misses out for the visitors following his second red card of the season last month, but Marcus Rashford is in the starting 11 alongside the likes of Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane.

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, McTominay, Sabitzer, Fernandes, Antony, Weghorst, Rashford.

HOWAY THE LADS.
