Saint-Maximin missing as Howe makes two changes – Official Newcastle team vs Brentford

The team sheets are in ahead of today’s 3pm kick-off in West London. Here’s the side we’ve gone with:

STARTING XI: Pope – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn – Longstaff, Guimaraes, Willock – Murphy, Isak, Joelinton.

SUBS: Dubravka, Dummett, Lascelles, Gordon, Wilson, Ritchie, Targett, Manquillo, Anderson.

Eddie Howe has made two changes to the side that beat West Ham 5-1 on Wednesday, seeing Alexander Isak and Joe Willock replace Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin.

ASM misses out entirely with a suspected hamstring injury; a real shame for the Frenchman just as he was getting back to his best. We still have options on the bench, however, with Gordon, Wilson and Anderson all on hand if needed.

For the Bees, former Mag Ivan Toney starts up and is one booking away from a two-game ban.

Brentford XI: Raya, Hickey, Jansson, Pinnock, Mee, Henry, Norgaard, Jensen, Dasilva, Schade, Toney.

Subs: Strakosha, Wissa, Zanka, Ghoddos, Mbuemo, Damsgaard, Baptiste, Janelt, Roerslev
