Co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi took to social media after our 6-1 win over Tottenham to praise the team’s ‘passion, perseverance and strong team spirit’, believing this wasn’t just three points but another massive statement.
Moments after the full-time whistle, both he and Jamie Reuben were filmed congratulating each and every member of the squad – including coaches and subs – as they walked off the pitch at the end of the game.
In what was one of the most remarkable games of the season, we scored five goals in the first 21 minutes and completely blew away a Spurs side who just couldn’t cope with our pace, power and relentless attacks.
It was a top quality team performance and a day that will live long in the memory, seeing us take another giant step towards Champions League football.
