Wilson, Almiron and Targett all start – Official Newcastle team news vs Everton

The team sheets are in ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm kick-off at Goodison Park, seeing Eddie Howe’s Mags take on Sean Dyche’s Everton.

Here’s the side we’ve gone with, featuring THREE changes:

STARTING 11: Pope – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Targett – Longstaff, Bruno, Willock – Almiron, Wilson, Joelinton.

SUBS: Dubravka, Lascelles, Gordon, Ritchie, Isak, Manquillo, Murphy, Anderson, Burn.

Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Matt Targett all start, replacing Alexander Isak, Jacob Murphy and Dan Burn, while Fabian Schar keeps his place after passing a late fitness test.

So, Howe has chosen to rotate, opting for fresh legs after we struggled to maintain our intensity levels in our last away game; a brutal 3-0 loss at Aston Villa. We also play again in a couple of days, facing Southampton at St James’ Park on Sunday.

As expected, the game comes too soon for Allan Saint-Maximin – who is back on Tyneside but not yet fully fit after suffering another hamstring problem – and Anthony Gordon is on the bench against his former club.

Sean Dyche has gone with the following side, seeing Amadou Onana return to the side and Demarai Gray drop to the bench – Everton XI: Pickford, Godfrey, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Gana, Onana, Doucoure, McNeil, Iwobi, Calvert-Lewin.

HWTL!
