‘This is going to be box office!’ – Darren Eales reveals half-time plans ahead of tonight’s game

Newcastle CEO Darren Eales has revealed that both Mehrdad Ghodoussi and Jamie Reuben will compete in Monday’s half-time challenge to raise money for NUFC Fans Foodbank.

The co-owners will face each other during the break of our huge game against Leicester, with them set to go head to head in the Fun88 shoot-out hosted by Justin Lockwood.

Eales has confirmed that the loser will have to donate £5,000, with the club matching that with a further £5,000 – a great gesture and great fun for fans inside St James’ Park. May the best co-owner win!

Newcastle need just one point to secure Champions League football and this will hopefully be part of a night of celebrations amongst Toon fans. It’s quite surreal to think that only two years ago we were battling relegation with an owner that didn’t care and a squad that was so frustrated and demotivated.

Now, it’s fair to say that the fans have never felt so connected to the club and the owners and the hope is that there are more cup runs and European campaigns in our near future.
