Karl Darlow has released a heartfelt goodbye message on social media to the ‘incredible’ Newcastle fans after confirming a £400,000 move to Leeds
The shot-stopper leaves Tyneside after a nine-year spell in the North East, signing a three-year deal with the Yorkshire-based Championship club.
In his message, the 32-year-old thanked everyone involved at the club for creating ‘unforgettable memories’ and claimed he was ‘proud’ to leave us in such a strong position.
The former Nottingham Forest man also wished us the best of luck with the future, and promised to follow the club in the future as we both embark on new adventures.
Although rarely first choice during his time with the Magpies, Darlow was a true professional on and off the pitch and was always ready to step up when called upon.

“Leaving Newcastle was always going to be incredibly tough, a fabulous club with a very special fan base.
“My family and I have made incredible friends, and unforgettable memories from our time in the North East that will always stay with us.
“I would like to thank every player and staff member I’ve worked with throughout my time at the club, and especially you Geordie fans for your continued support. To see the club now with such momentum and optimism ahead makes me proud to have been a part of.
“Thank you all again, and good luck for the future, I will be follow! 🎶Always believe in…🎶🖤🤍”
