Former Newcastle favourite set to sign for newly-promoted Luton – Fabrizio Romano

Former Newcastle stopper Tim Krul looks set to join Premier League new boys Luton Town after five years at Norwich City.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, there is an agreement in place between the two clubs and a medical took place on Tuesday, with the deal expected to be finalised in the next 24 hours.

Luton had already brought in one goalkeeper this summer with Thomas Kaminski arriving from Blackburn, but the Hatters are now looking for a more experienced pair of hands.

Krul spent 11 years on Tyneside where he made 184 first-team appearances, and now may make his return to St James’ Park for the first time since 2021.

The Dutch international has always been a well liked character in Newcastle despite playing in such a dark period for the club, so it will be good to see him in the North East once again when Luton come to town.
