Premier League clash set to be moved as Newcastle’s UCL schedule causes fixture pile-up

Following the release of our Champions League schedule ahead of group games with PSG, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, it looks like Newcastle’s Premier League clash with Brentford will be moved.

The UCL fixture list (see below) has us down to play our opening Group F game against at the San Siro on Tuesday 19th September at 5.45pm, just 48 hours after we face Brentford at St James’ Park.

Our league game with the Bees is currently set to be shown at 4.30pm on Sunday 17th September at Sky Sports, but this game will almost certainly be brought forward to the Saturday following today’s release of the Champions League schedule.

  • Newcastle vs Brentford – 17th September, 4.30pm kick-off
  • Matchday 1: AC Milan v Newcastle United – 19th September, 5.45m
  • Matchday 2: Newcastle United v Paris Saint-Germain – 4th October, 8pm
  • Matchday 3: Newcastle United v Borussia Dortmund – 25th October, 8pm
  • Matchday 4: Borussia Dortmund v Newcastle United – 7th November, 5.45pm
  • Matchday 5: Paris Saint-Germain v Newcastle United – 28th November, 8pm
  • Matchday 6: Newcastle United v AC Milan – 13th December, 8pm

There’s been no official update on the Brentford game, but the Premier League (see below) did say this fixture was subject to change when the fixtures were released back in June.
