Newcastle release early injury hint – Good news ahead of Chelsea game?

Newcastle United released official photos from the training ground last night, offering an early indication of who will be fit for tomorrow’s game.

Only 26 images were released, but they show Miguel Almiron back in training, along with Fabian Schar, Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton and Kieran Trippier.

Almiron limped off with a hamstring injury in our 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth but appears to be OK, with Schar’s presence on the training ground also a relief. He didn’t feature in any of Switzerland’s three fixtures over the break, giving him a much-needed break after initial concerns over a hamstring problem.

Bruno and Joelinton are back from Brazil duty and appear to be fine, while Trippier is expected to play despite leaving the England camp early due to personal reasons.

Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall feature in the images after being away with England’s youth teams, although the latter is ineligible to face Chelsea tomorrow due to the terms of his loan-to-buy move.

There’s no Alexander Isak in the photos, but there’s a limited group of images released, so it’s hoped the club are just keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to the Swede.

26 players pictured in training: Miguel Almiron, Mark Gillespie, Anthony Gordon, Bruno G, Lewis Hall, Joelinton, Loris Karius, Tino Livramento, Nick Pope, Fabian Schar, Kieran Trippier.
