Eddie Howe has hailed the response of his players to Tuesday night’s disappointment in Paris, believing our performance last night was ‘one of our best’ of the season.
We were outstanding and played Man Utd off the park, but the only negative from a brilliant night was yet another injury blow, with Howe admitting that Nick Pope looks to have dislocated his should. He’ll see a specialist but it ‘doesn’t look good.’
After our sixth straight win at St James’ Park, the boss then hailed our home record, praising the ‘special relationship’ between players and fans. He was full of praise for Lewis Miley, Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento and credited Martin Dubravka for coming on from the cold and doing a solid job.
