Newcastle & Spurs facing suspension risk ahead of Sunday’s game – One to watch tonight

There’s two players at risk of missing Sunday’s clash between Spurs and Newcastle heading into tonight’s final round of midweek fixtures.

Both Kieran Trippier and Destiny Udogie have picked up four yellow cards so far this season, leaving them one booking away from suspension.

Trippier will face a one-match ban if he’s booked in tonight’s 7.30pm kick-off at Goodison Park and Udogie is in the same predicament ahead of Tottenham’s 8.15pm clash at home to West Ham.

Sean Longstaff is also on four yellows for the season, but he remains sidelined with an ankle injury and will not be in the squad at Everton.

The cut-off for the five-yellow ban is after our 19th game of the season, meaning Trippier (and Longstaff) will hopefully avoid cautions in our next five games against Everton, Spurs, Fulham, Luton and Nottingham Forest. Do so and they will escape a one-game ban, unless they are booked 10 times before our 32nd fixture of the season.
