Howe issues injury update, reacts to Everton defeat & explains frustration – Watch here

Eddie Howe spoke to the press following Thursday night’s 3-0 defeat to Everton, issuing an update on Jamaal Lascelles’ late injury, defending Kieran Trippier and reflecting on a frustrating performance from his side (Watch in full below).

The boss accepts that injuries, fatigue and his inability to rotate – before or during games – is hindering us, but insists it was a “missed opportunity” to suffer a late collapse at Everton just when he felt we were on top in the game.

Thankfully, he didn’t seem too concerned by Lascelles’ withdrawal, saying – “I don’t think it’s a serious one, I think it’s a dead leg. It’s a knock to his thigh I think. I don’t know at the moment but fingers crossed.”

On the possibility of other injured players returning ahead of Sunday’s trip to Spurs, he added: “I don’t know. A lot of the injured players were working toy at the training ground, so we are hopeful we can get some support.”
