We look back at the 3-2 loss at St James’ Park over the weekend, picking out positives on a frustrating night that promised so much after an electric first half, featuring Dubravka, Trippier, our high press and THAT foul that was missed in the build up to City’s opener.
Despite the positives to take in defeat, I pick out a few concerning trends – our gaps in midfield and the number of late goals we’ve conceded this season – but run through the kind set of fixtures coming our way from February onwards.
