Just two minutes into his West Ham debut, Kalvin Phillips has proved why Newcastle United were reluctant to pay such a huge loan fee for the midfielder.
On his first start for the Hammers in tonight’s Premier League clash at home to Bournemouth, the 28-year-old played a back pass right into the path of Dominic Solanke, who finished calmly to give the Cherries 1 -0 lead.
It’s been reported that Newcastle refused to pay Man City’s £7m loanee fee due to concerns over his lack of sharpness, with the former Leeds man playing just 89 minutes of Premier League football prior to tonight. Based on his error here (watch it below), you can see why!

At the time of writing, Bournemouth remain 1-0 up and Newcastle will be hoping it stays that way after we moved three points behind the Irons after our 3-1 win at Aston Villa on Tuesday.
Have to say it was a awful ball by the cat abuser that put him in that situation
