Newcastle release brilliant footage as Tonali and co take on darts challenge – Watch here!

Newcastle United players enjoyed a game of darts to celebrate the start of the PDC Premier League last night.

In a video posted by the club, fans can see several players step up to the oche donning their own darting nicknames.

Involved in the video is: Paul “Danger Man” Dummett, Jacob “The Gun” Murphy, Lewis “Hitman” Hall, Elliot “Geordie Maradona” Anderson and Bruno “BG from Blyth” Guimaraes.

Fans will also be encouraged by the videos inclusion of Sandro Tonali, who is currently serving a 10 month ban. The Italian was given the nickname “Ton-80”.

The lads play three rounds, the first round “Closest to the Bull”, the second “Killer” and the third “Highest Score”. Watch the brilliant clip in full below:

They clearly hadn’t been watching any of local hero Chris Dobey’s recent performances, as they all struggled to hit the big numbers. Here’s hoping they don’t carry their darting form onto the pitch when we take on Luton at St James’ Park tomorrow!

The PDC darts Premier League comes to Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on Thursday, February 22.
