Harvey Barnes starts and Murphy makes bench – Team news vs Bournemouth

The team sheets are in ahead of today’s game at St James’ Park, where Eddie Howe’s Mags take on his former club Bournemouth.

Here’s the side he’s gone with for the 3pm kick-off:

NUFC XI: Dubravka, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Miley, Longstaff, Bruno, Almiron, Gordon, Barnes.

SUBS: Karius, Dummett, Lascelles, Ritchie, Krafth, Hall, Livramento, Murphy, White.

As expected, Callum Wilson misses out after surgery, meaning Harvey Barnes comes in for his first start since that 8-0 win at Sheffield United.

Jacob Murphy makes the squad despite picking up a calf issue in last weekend’s 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest, but there’s no Alexander Isak or Joe Willlock.

Rumoured Newcastle target Philip Billing misses out for Bournemouth through suspension, with Dominic Solanke leading the line and Toon-linked Lloyd Kelly at left-back.

Bournemouth XI: Neto(c), Zabarnyi, Kelly, Senesi, Smith, Semenyo, Christie, Tavernier, Kluivert, Cook, Solanke

Subs: Travers, Kinsey-Wellings, Ouattara, Scott, Randolph, Kerkez, Mepham, Ünal
