Game on! Newcastle v Wolves.

Howay the lads!

Sing our hearts out for the lads!
Relax, and breath. Or try to anyway….

The game today carries an awful lot of significance with regard to the relegation race.

A win for the home side will restore a bit of a cushion between us and the relegation places whilst a loss will drag us right into the mire, which seemed improbable just a few weeks back but a run of only one win in ten games has seen the points cushion that we had built up start to get chipped away at.

In the interests of balance, and to add a bit of positivity to the article, if the results in these fixtures all happen to fall our way then we could end the weekend sitting in ninth place above Sunderland. Wouldn’t that be nice! Knowing Newcastle however, every result will go our way apart from our own…..

I have no doubt that the game will be a tense and nervy affair. Both sides are missing a few players and both sides need the points. The fans will play their part today of course, but the players need to show that they mean business and start off at a fast pace. I hope those who are able to attend the match today are in fine voice and get the result that will keep them singing.

For those who can’t make it, like me, an internet stream will have to suffice. A quick look at the MyP2P doesn’t fill me with too much hope of catching one to be honest, so if you guys can track one down then please feel free to share a link in the ‘comments’ section below.

For a more detailed look at injury news, potential team selections, form and fun facts you can take a look at my match preview by clicking on those handily underlined words.

That’s about it to be honest. Team news will be up as soon as I can get my hands on it, and all that is left for me to say is…..

Howay the lads!

  1. What p*ssed me off the most was when he had the ball then just booted it up the pitch for no reason at all.

  2. Toonsy you could have left the Match report untill you tied up your loose ends, but then Richie told me it dosn’t take you long tying up the loose ends

  3. Ice I really have a good feeling about the rest of the season now.
I really think today will boost their confidence and we could maybe go on a wee run

  4. Ice I dont think its just on that show mate he is the only player that I get real worried about, even Butt didn’t make me feel like that 😆

  5. DAVE we are without nolan and tiote for next game, just hope jose is back with young fergie ganning off, mind villa lost there bottle today after leading

  6. Ice I fancy us against the villa I would like to see Jose back so we could push young Fergie into MF and I think Guthrie done well today, and I wouldn’t mind see a MF of Fergie, Guthrie, Barton and Jonas 😉

  7. Another win will prob see us safe so hopefully we’ll get that against villa, wouldn’t be surprised to see us get a draw against manure…then again wouldn’t be surprised to see get a hammering either 🙂 5 more points and we are def safe

  8. Ice after the yr we went down I dont really worry about other teams scores because you cant rely on others when you can do it yourself and have your own destination in your own hands 😉

  9. be interesting to see who we put in midfield against Villa,

No Tiote, Nolan and doubt Ireland won’t be allowed to play against his club
    Fergie, Guthers, Barton, Jonas?

  10. Toonsy….you’re avatar made the difference today big man !….516 hits on one single post …immense mate….me Saturday night was saved !!

Say what you like about Shola, but he’s a Geordie legend at the end of the day, and just puts the ball in the back of the net. Well done big man….!
