Newcastle United reportedly ready to sell key player for ridiculously low price

Newcastle United are ready to dispense with the services of Tim Krul for a meagre fee of around only £4 million, according to reports from the Northern Echo.

Krul suffered a season ending knee injury while on international duty with Netherlands last season and his absence was most certainly one of the main reasons why the Magpies were unable to avoid relegation into the Championship.

As a huge sense of relief for the Newcastle faithful though, the 28-year-old had stated immediately after the club’s relegation that he intended to stay put at St. James’ Park.

Despite such an admission, Krul has not yet signed an extension to his contract which expires at the end of the current campaign and recently, the Northern Echo claimed that Italian giants Juventus were considering a swoop for the Dutch international.

The reports also adds that Newcastle are ready to part with Krul for a fee as low as £4 million due to his current contractual situation and the asking price is most certainly a ridiculously low one, especially considering the inflated transfer market today.
