Just hours after Miguel Almiron landed on Tyneside, Monaco left-back Antonio Barreca has just posted a picture of him arriving at Newcastle airport ahead of his medical.
The Italian has agreed to join the club on loan until the end of the season, with Sky reporting that he we will have the option to sign him permanently in the summer for a fee in the region of £7.5-£9m.

Whether deals for Barreca or Almiron are confirmed by the club tonight remains to be seen, but it’s great to see that BOTH are on Tyneside and set for medicals.
We’ve left it late, but it looks like Benitez will finally be signing a much needed left-back and number 10 before the window shuts at 11pm tomorrow.
